XtraLife Fabric
Our Xtra Life fabric, which is better known by its consumer brand name, LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™, is a spandex (elastane) fibre that resists damage caused by sun, heat, chlorine, lotion, and more to last up to 10 times longer than unprotected fibres. This type of fibre damage can affect the comfort, fit, and shape retention of a garment, which can shorten its lifespan.
Why does garment durability matter?
Consumers are increasingly concerned about sustainability, the impact the production of a garment has on the planet, and how long a garment will last. Durable garments that consumers can wear longer are more sustainable than fast fashion. According to WRAP UK, extending the wear life of clothing by an additional nine months can reduce carbon, waste, and water footprints by up to 20% to 30% each.
Fluity Eco Fabric
This amazingly silky fabric is produced in Brazil. It is a knitted fabric produced with elastane and microfiber biodegradable nylon, an innovative and pioneering technology in the world. With smooth visual and gently elasticized structure, this article uses microfiber nylon whose filaments can be thinner than a human hair, adding to the product a touch of extreme softness, plus a flexible and nice fit to the body. This softness provides smooth skin contact and exceptional comfort during use and great absorption of natural moisture from the body due to the nylon features. Furthermore, it has 50+ UV protection against ultraviolet radiation.
• Fluity fabric is formulated with 6.6 biodegradable nylon, improved to allow garments to decompose rapidly after disposal in landfills. The decomposition that had taken decades to occur in nylon is now fully decomposed in less than 3 years.
• It is free of toxic products to the human skin according to international Oeko-Tex 100 Class I certification.
